Please note that there is there are NO Uber or Lyfts available in the town of St. Michaels. For guests staying at the Inn at Perry Cabin, a 5 minute walk will take you to everything in St. Michaels. The Inn also offers transportation to town in private cars. If you are not traveling by car, you will need to secure a transport service to/from the airport or reserve a rental car for the weekend. Please refer to the Car Rentals and Airport Transfers sections at the bottom of this page for recommendations.

Travel time can vary during the spring months as it’s off season, however all beach bound traffic from Baltimore and Washington is required to cross the bay bridge. Please allow extra time for travel if you plan to cross the bridge on Friday or Sunday afternoons, as traffic is the worst during these windows. This is the most efficient way to get to St. Michaels, MD as the airport is ony a 1.5 hour drive from BWI. BWI has direct flights between all major cities, and it tends to be less expensive than DCA.

St. Michaels is a 2 hour drive from DCA. There are direct flights to DCA from all major cities, but it tends to be more expensive as it is located 10 minutes from downtown Washington, DC.

The Salisbury airport is a 1 hour and 15 drive from St. Michaels, and is convenient in that crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is not required when driving from this airport. While this is the fastest and (likely) least crowded way to get to St. Michaels, the airport is smaller so flights tend to be more expensive.

There are numerous rental car companies located at the BWI rental car facilites. All facilities are located about a 15 minute shuttle ride from the BWI airport. Be prepared to wait if choosing to rent a car as the facilities are large and popular.

Because the Salsbury airport is regional, the only available rental car company is Avis. Please book quickly as they have limited inventory.
